Kaf Ha Ya ‘Ain Saad (كهيعص)
Kaf Ha Ya ‘Ain Saad

Muqata'at (abbreviated or shortened) letters appear at the beginning of 29 chapters of the Holy Qur'an. They are also known as 'fawatih' or 'openers' as they form the first verse of each of the chapters that they head. They are full of mystical meaning and some of the People of Allah have indicated that they are abbreviations for some of the Names of Allah.

This particular combination of Kaf Ha Ya ‘Ain Saad begins the chapter of Maryam (19).
